What Our Families Say
Almost every day, we receive thank you notes and cards from the families we’ve served. Each of these heartfelt messages means more to us than we can express here, because it affirms the fact that we are doing what we set out to do when we opened the doors of Covington Memorial Funeral Home: help families celebrate, honor, and memorialize a loved one with compassionate attentive care, and thorough professionalism. Take some time to read their words – and learn that, every day, we exceed expectations.
I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for all the help you gave me this past week. My aunt passed away on Sunday January 5th and the next day Monday January 6th we had a severe snow storm putting Toledo Ohio on a Level 3 snow emergency. I was unable to get to Fort Wayne to make the necessary arrangements. From the time you said "Hello" to the final day ending in her actual funeral, I felt very at ease with you. You handled EVERYTHING over the phone and through emails. You were very sensitive to the situation I was in regarding my aunts financial state, and guided me in the right directions all the time assuring me my decisions were respectful. It was extremely hard for me being so far away and not being able to "see" my choices, but you assured me time and again that I was making the right choices and at the same time honoring my aunts memory. My aunt had requested a grave side service but again because of the terrible weather conditions, you graciously offered your beautiful funeral home for us to gather and say goodbye. You offered the services of an officiant and again he was wonderful !! Never having met my way. Because of your extreme professionalism, and kind and understanding heart you made it possible for me to grieve my aunts passing knowing in the end it was "exactly the way she would have wanted it". You went above and beyond for a stranger... And in the end I felt like I had a new friend. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart !!!!
